Jonathan Taylor

Jonathan Taylor, the pastor at Village Church, serves as the president of the board. Jonathan has worked in full-time ministry since he graduated from college in 2003, and he has served as pastor of Village Church since December 2015. Jonathan is married to Jessica, who serves on the church staff as Outreach Leader. Jonathan and Jessica have two daughters, one of whom they adopted from Russia and the other from China. Read more about Jonathan and the Village Church staff here.

Melissa Gregg

Melissa serves as treasurer of the board at Village Church. An active part of Village Church since 2015, Melissa also volunteers on the Worship Team and on the Face Team. She is married to Steven, and they have three sons (one of whom is currently serving in the U.S. Army) and two grandsons. Melissa works as an accountant at Hughston Clinic.

Steve Dickson

Steve was a member of Christ Community Church, our founding church in Columbus, before becoming a part of the Phenix City church plant that launched in 2014. Steve volunteers as a drummer on the Worship Team, leads a focused discipleship group, and is involved in the Men’s Ministry at Village Church,. He is married to Donna, and they have four children and seven grandchildren. In 2024, Steve retired from his career as a project manager for Flournoy Construction.

Liza Amaro

Liza, who serves as secretary of the board, attended Christ Community Church in Columbus before joining Village Church when it launched in 2014. She also volunteers as a co-leader of THRIVE Women’s Ministry, serves as a Village Group leader, volunteers on the Coffee Team, and manages the church website. She’s married to George and has a 14-year-old bonus daughter and three precious dogs. Liza is a marketing manager at CheckAlt.

Brandon McClain

Brandon and his wife, Lynda, have been part of Village Church since 2015. Together, they volunteer as greeters on the Face Team and serve as Village Group leaders. Brandon has a grown son, Hunter, who lives in southeast Georgia. Brandon works as a business analyst at Elevance Health.

Kristie Donaldson

Kristie, like Steve and Liza, was also part of Christ Community Church before joining Village Church in 2014. In addition to serving on the board at Village Church, Kristie serves on the Worship Team and periodically leads Bible studies and step studies. Kristie is married to Bryan, and they have a blended family of one son (now grown with a family of his own) and one teen daughter. Kristie works in the claims department at Elevance Health.

Matt Hargrove

Matt is married to Melissa, and they have three biological children and one adopted son. Matt and Melissa are licensed foster parents in Lee County, Alabama, and they regularly open up their home to children in need.

In his spare time, Matt enjoys kayaking on the Chattahoochee River (and elsewhere across the country) and experiencing the great outdoors with his family. He works in IT at Synovus.
